who is Rev. Dr. Porsha Williams Gates?
I am the Reverend Dr. Porsha Williams Gates. I am the child of Patricia and Patrick, the spouse of Jamal, the sibling of Patryce, the auntie of Jackson and Sydney, and the mother of a little dog named Paris. I have been nurtured by the city of Bridgeport and the Mount Aery Baptist Church.
My academic achievements include degrees from Spelman College and Yale Divinity School. I am pursuing my Doctorate of Ministry Degree in Creative Writing and Public Theology at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. My project centers on podcasting as the third space digital pulpit for intergenerational healing.
Professionally, I am a podcaster, public theologian, social entrepreneur, healer, digital content creator, consultant, writer, and preacher. My vocational work centers on social justice and wholeness using various technologies, from preaching, divination, reiki, and digital storytelling. I am a digital pioneer as the Founder of Porshanality Media, LLC.
